Best for Last

Tonight the Elder's Quorm hosted a dessert night for couples.  We were to bring a dessert with a story behind it and then get to know each other better.  It was a lot of fun even though our group was small.  The spreading of the word didn't go around well and I've given my two cents on what to do to make it better next time.  We will see how that pans out for next month.  I love that there will be some sort of activity every moth whether it's just with the guys, couples, or the whole family.

Tonight Kevin made the famous ice cream cake.  In there family growing up they always had that to celebrate their birthdays.  We love that cake and Kaila even had it last year for her grandparents birthday dinner.  I made Lemon Meringue pie since growing up my mom always made us our favorite pies for our birthday.  We were given an entire pie to eat by ourselves and then she made a bigger pie for the family to share.  We LOVED that tradition growing up and being able to eat as little or as much as we wanted that day or save it for later.  YUM!
