Painting Time

I saw our local library was doing a ceramic painting activity for all ages on Saturday so I put in in my phone to remind me about it. I'm so glad I did. The kids LOVED it. LM's multicolor cat actually turned out really cute. He finished pretty quickly so it was a challenge to keep him happy while DD took her time painting her bear. She painted the entire bear pink and then was starting on Orange. I finally realized she wanted to use all three colors the lady running it gave her. We didn't have time for her to paint the bear completely in all three colors. I finally helped her finish her bear in orange and called it good. The kids had fun and it was nice to do something different with them.

After naps today I set the kids up outside to paint with water. They loved it but LM thought it was a lot more fun to dump all the water out instead of painting so that didn't last too long. Thankfully the kids are getting better at entertaining themselves outside so I don't have to be out in the heat with them!

They even got an ice cream bar for a treat...LM didn't even wait for me to open his and bit right through the paper. Silly boy!

Sunday DH got a new calling for church since everyone got released and all the boundaries are getting changed this coming Sunday. I can't wait to see where the changes will be to know if my friends will still be in my ward or not. Some people have been really emotional about it but I'm not. I guess I figure why cry now when I don't even know who or what to cry over. I'm sure it will hit me soon.

Monday we went to our friend's house for a birthday party and it was lots of fun with yummy chocolate cake her hubby made for her (four layers with raspberries and truffles). It was amazing. I just LOVE raspberries when I'm pregnant. I also got the primer on some of the spots around the house and I'm hoping to paint them tonight once DD is really asleep!

Today started out as HELL! DD got up at 5 and wouldn't go back to sleep. She was up till 11pm too since we think she might have a yeast infection so I gave her a sitz bath last night. I finally got up with her at 5:45 and took her walking with me at 6:30am. I got breakfast made and dinner before that so that was nice. I was so exhausted though and told her I was going to sleep in her bed at 7:45am since LM still wasn't up yet and had Annie on for her. She wake me up just as I had fallen asleep for some reason and then again for a snack after that. Finally DH got up and LM woke up just after at 8:45 or so and I went back to bed to try and get some sleep before I had preschool since I was already exhausted. I got a little bit of sleep but was still dead when I had to get up. It was a long day today but preschool went well and I got the Father's Day presents mostly done for the kids and their cards too. We will wrap them next week and have them already. I need to do LM's hand prints though and I'm not looking forward to that (3 tiles...ugh!)

DH got another job and starts tomorrow! It's a huge answer to prayer. It looks like he will be getting more days of work too which is wonderful. He will finish up just in time for us to head to Utah too which is great! I can't wait to go on vacation with the kids and have them play with their cousins.

Pregnancy wise: everything seems to be going well. I feel like I'm popping out more and am almost 100% in PG clothes but on Sunday I wore an entire outfit that wasn't. She loves to move around and lot and keeps me up at night for a time being until she finally settles down. It's fun though.

Today has been EXHAUSTING!!! We have to do two layers of paint on top of primer on some spots. Thankfully I have my Dad helping and my mom BUT it's still a lot of work. My mom got a lot of the kitchen stuff that made it over to the house unpacked! My FIL put all the shelves in the system we bought on craigslist. It's nice to see things in the house and empty boxes! We still have a lot more to go though. We are also getting a desk this evening too! I'm so happy about that. We have been looking for something for the computer and for scrapbooking and I think this will be perfect. My dad had to go to work and will be back to help paint tonight. The kids have been with my MIL all day and are napping there. I'm going to nap after I post this. I just finished lunch (yes at almost 3pm). I hope my body can hold up for me. We will see how the kids are doing. I might have to wait to do anything more till tomorrow when I have another babysitter for the kids in the morning.
