Exhausting Day!

So yesterday was such a busy day! The kids did great at the baby shower THOUGH they were still crazier than I would have liked. The shower was suppose to be more of the open house kind for my friend, Lindsey, so I didn't think it would be a big deal to bring them in but then everyone was staying...it was a little crazy but I didn't have much of a choice since DH was working and both grandparents were busy. The preschool round up was fun for the kids. I can't believe all the different types of preschools in the area. I think there were at least 20 or more there and the prices were CRAZY!!!! I'm not charging enough for the preschool I run right now BUT I love it and it's low key. ;-) I'm confused about what to do for DD next year...weather to get her in a preschool or to do my own again or maybe both to help pay for the preschool class.

My sister dropped in again before leaving back for CA during nap time. She helped me go over some back excises she showed me for strengthening my back. I'm hoping it will help my back get stronger so it won't go out all the time. After she left the kids and I walked across the street for Naia's 1st birthday. It was so fun and the kids LOVED it. They got a lot of attention and SP was passed around to probably 10 different people who were dying to hold a baby. It was cute.

It was so nice to get out with just DH last night. Even if it was for a meeting at church. It was so relaxing not to have kids with me after such a busy day. It was even better coming home to 3 sleeping kids! I love not having to do bedtime though I did put SP down right before walking out the door. ;-)

Hectic Morning

November 14, 2009

Today was a hectic morning. I got woken up by DD yelling for me since she had finished her cereal and was strapped in her chair and DH had left to ref the volleyball game tournament at church. LM was still sleeping on the bed from nursing at 7am. I knew he was still tired and he finally went back to sleep with me shhing him. I got DD down and started making the food for the "Welcome to the World" party for my friend's little girl, Lydia. Halfway through fixing stuff DD asks if baby is still sleeping and I said yes. The next thing I hear is her in his room saying, "Hi" as loud as she can which wakes him up...lovely! I was trying to get everything prepped before waking him up. I wasn't very happy with DD for that and she knew it so then she became VERY whiny. I was on a conference call this whole time too for my new business--thankfully they have a mute button so everyone didn't have to listen to both my children screaming. I think it took me muting and unmuting my phone 10 times before I got a question in I had. My mom wasn't answering her phone either (cell was off, home just rang) and she was suppose to babysit and I needed to reminder. I finally got a hold of her 15 minutes after she was going to arrive. I wasn't ready either though. I was so busy that I got everything packed up and realized I forgot to wrap my present. UGH! It was a bit stressful since it looked like I would arrive at the party as it was about to start.

Thankfully no one else was there and the first guest (my MIL) came 10 minutes late. What a blessing everyone was late. We were able to get everything set up and it was wonderful! I just love having a break in the day and being able to visit with my friends. I will need that refueling with my long week ahead without DH.

March 14, 2009

So Saturday was an extremely busy day for me. I had the baby shower for my friend with the 10lb 13oz baby. I got picks of LM and baby K together. I'll have to post those. Then I came home and downloaded all the pictures and videos from both cameras. We had a dinner at church where everyone brought a food from where they served on their missions. It was so yummy. I was feeding LM so DH got me a plate of food and I was just eating some and asked DH what this one rice dish was. He said it was his. It was the best! I asked him why he has never made it for us before. He's definitely going to be making that again! We got home from the dinner and my mom had cleaned our kitchen, was washing the dishes, and helping me pack up while my dad watched DD. It was so nice of my parents to help. We left 2 hours later at 10pm and still had to stop by the store and get gas too. Then we were off for a long night of driving.

March 7, 2009

This was written between segments from me coughing, baby throwing up, and feedings. YUCK!

Well, I'm still horribly sick. I thought I was getting better which maybe I was. Last night I got a phone call that we needed to reschedule the baby shower because my friend's baby had to be taken to Doernbecher Children's Hospital for observation for 24 hours because he's sleeping 22 hours a day which normal is 14-18 hours for how old he is. I then got a list of people to call but then all the talking wore me out and my throats been killing me since. DD didn't' like me talking on the phone and threw a huge fit after only 3 calls so I got her in her PJ's then made and other 2 calls but decided to put her to bed. She was acting so tired. She ended up going to bed 15 minutes early which DH said she's been going to bed that early the last few days. I finished my phone calls after putting her to bed.

Today my friend called while I was still sleeping and told DH that things seem fine so far even though the baby is still sleeping. I realized how lucky we are to have a children's hospital with in our reach! I pray everything is okay with him.

DH took DD out to run his errands with him today so I could rest and just take care of LM this morning. It sounds like DD is getting sick too. DH said she kept saying "no" to everything (She rarely says "no"). She only ate half a chicken nugget and wouldn't drink her water so DH got her an Orange Julius which thankfully she drank. I pray I didn't get her sick too! This is so miserable and I can't imagine what it would be like to feel this awful and not be able to express how I'm feeling. UGH!
