My little BIG boy

I got to take Glenn to get a haircut today, 2 months coming!  Gwen, our hairstylist, said we hadn't been in since the beginning of October.  It showed too.  Glenn was having a little shag hairstyle going. She said she gets kids in that want that hairstyle.  I like the short much better.  She said she can see the difference in hairstyles in the child's behavior.  I agreed and added their dress/appearance plays a role too.  Glenn was so excited to get his sucker and enjoyed sucking on it while watching Peter Pan and holding a toy batman.  He was in heaven!  I was SHOCKED at how much hair was on the floor after his cut.  I think it was more than I have after my haircuts.  I wish I had my camera to take a picture.  I have an after pic though!

Going Home

We finally got the okay to leave at around 11:30. I was wheeled out and we loaded up into Grandma's car (since they had our car for transporting DD and LM around). We had a safe ride home and arrived at 12:15pm. Grandma and Grandpa still had the kids at church since Grandma serves in the library and stays after for that every Sunday. This gave us time to settle in a little and find something to eat before the kids got home.

DD ran into the house asking where her baby sister was! She wanted to hold her so badly. It was so sweet to see her love on her little sister. LM was excited to see Mommy and Daddy but was very tired. He got some cereal to eat and then went to take his nap.

"He's my Best Friend!" as DD hugged LM

Sisters!

After DD got her loves in we all headed upstairs and napped. The final result of our naps were with DH on DD's little bed, DD on DH's side of the bed, me on my side, and SP in the middle of the bed. Hopefully that doesn't become the standard situation.

March 1, 2009

Today DD did great in nursery at church but was horrible in sacrament meeting. She was cry/fuss when sitting in our pew so I would take her out and sit her on my lap. She was sit great and be quiet (only once did she fight me) but then as soon as I took her back in she would throw a fit again. It was 4 sessions I was up and down. One person commented that I was getting my exercise today! That was for sure. My back was killing me all day and that wasn't helping having to carry her back and forth too.

LM did great though and slept almost all of church and only fussed when it was time to eat. A friend even took him for a while to hold him so I was able to sit by myself which was a treat (though there was only 5 minutes of church left at that point). My Sunday School class was great too. The kids answered the questions and were so good. We got done 5 minutes early which was amazing since I started late (I was showing my friend who was visiting from Illinois the kids). Overall it was a great day at church.

We came home ate lunch/snack and all took a nap (though DH went off for a home teaching visit). It was so nice to sleep finally. I even fed LM while laying down and he didn't spew all over me. Yeah!! I may try that once tonight too if I'm feeling brave. We all went to choir practice but we dropped DD off at my friend's house (DD's best friend's house) for her husband to watch the girls for us. I finally feel like I'm getting the music down! That's always a wonderful feeling.

Finally tonight we were able to eat the meal the Young Women dropped off Thursday night. It was pretty good. The Dessert was to die for. I'll get the recipe but basically it's just (ice cream sandwiches, whip cream, Reece's peanut butter cups layered twice)! YUMMY.
DD was so cranky this evening. I think it was from her getting woken up from her nap so we could go to choir. She was crying for no reason and throwing a ton of fits! It was crazy. LM has been great! Thankfully they aren't both having a bad day.

It looks like DH's going to Ireland instead of Spain. He bought the tickets tonight. They are flying out (he and his brother) for only $377 including taxes (which were like $100! I thought that was a lot for taxes). We are driving down to San Jose and they are flying out from San Fran. I will be staying with my SIL while there so I pray it's sunny and I get a mini vacation too, though we will be left with 6 kids! It will be nuts but hopefully fun.

This evening while I was holding LM DH commented on his crazy hairline. Over the last week he has lost so much hair and now has a little patch on the crown of his head and the bottom of his scalp. I think he looks a little like Mr. T! It's hilarious.
