It's A Wonderful LIfe

I'm so glad the temps have dropped there. There's suppose to be freezing rain tonight here.  It's so cold now. We are so excited for Christmas in our house.  We started tonight by watching half of "It's a wonderful Life." The kids were enjoying it to but the younger ones were getting bored after about 45 minutes.  Kevin and I didn't realize it was such a long movie.  We ate popcorn and just enjoyed being together which is always nice.

Ice Ice Baby

We woke up to a snow day with no snow (well it was barely falling, little tiny flakes).  The weather predicted a bad storm coming.  It did come around 11:30am.  The kids first enjoyed scraping together as much of the flakes as they could to make snowballs.  Each made one snowball.  Glenn saved his in the fridge which he showed Makenna when she came over to play with Kaila for a bit.  I rescued it and put it in the freezer.  :-)

Later the kids enjoyed sledding down out hill in the back with all the freezing rain coming down.  Glenn stayed out there the longest (tough little guy).  He and Addie started first while Kaila was gone at Makenna's playing outside and Barbies inside.  Once she came home she warmed up a bit and held Rowan for me so I could snap a few pics of the kids.  I didn't last very long.  I didn't enjoy being hit with the freezing rain but the kids LOVED all the sledding.  Those sleds were a great investment at Costco a few years ago! After getting their pics I helped Kaila get bundled up in snow gear and then she went out as Addie came in.  I grabbed a few more pics and videos of her playing and then retreated to the warmth inside.

I'm so glad they enjoyed the "snow" or ice day.  I thought I was going to go crazy the first couple hours with the kids all fighting with each other and there wasn't really any "snow" to send them out to play with.  I'm so glad something came so they could get out and release all their energy and give me some quiet time as well.  :-)

After awhile we did venture out to go to the Mt. Hood Theater to see the movie Planes 2.  Glenn was so excited to see this one ever since he saw it listed on the movies showing this time.  I called Mom, Nana, to see if she'd like to go since my Dad is out hunting again.  She did so picked her up on the way. I told her I wanted to leave at 4 since the roads were bad and wanted to have plenty of time to get there but it ended up taking me 20 minutes to deice the car.  I wasn't thinking of needing to do that.  I'm so glad I was planning on leaving early.

The movie was great.  Rowan stayed awake during the entire show which was shocking.  He was great even with being awake.  I got popcorn for everyone to enjoy too so that was a fun little treat.  I picked up some KFC on the way home since I've been craving it since doing Game On.  We also stopped by Fred Meyer so Mom could get a few things and then we went home.  It was slow going but thankfully everyone was going slowly too.

Once we dropped Nana off, backing, or I should say "sliding", into her driveway so she could more easily get to the grass to not slip it took a bit to get the car out and able to drive down the road.  I'm so glad we made it safely home.  I know God was watching over us.  Kevin made it home from Portland shortly after we got home.  He said it was the weirdest thing to have nothing in Portland but as soon as you get into Troutdale there was all this snow and ice.  We got a good inch or two of ice here.

Day 3- Movie Day

We got all the kids off to school and took Addie and Collin to preschool.  I then dropped Rowan off for my mom to watch while she finished painting her kitchen and living room wall. I told her how easy he was to put down for a nap.  Just to put him in the car seat in the bathroom with the fan going and make it dark and he'll go to sleep.  She was amazed that it worked.  My dad checked on him and sure enough he was out.  I just love that about him.  He's such a great baby!!!  We are truly blessed.  I'm so glad it was easy for my mom to watch him.  I then went to the school to read with Kaila's classmates and then picked up Glenn and the preschoolers.  We picked up Rowan on our way back home and it was so nice not having to carry his heavy car seat into the preschool room.

Today I finished more laundry!  Isn't that the story for most moms? We also cleaned most of the house too, vacuuming-big rug by Addie, kids bathroom by Glenn, and up stairs rooms by all kids.  My parents came over and helped me figure out some of the measures on the ballots and then my Dad dropped them off for us.  The kids and I picked up Grandpa and went to the Mt. Hood Theater and watched "How to Train Your Dragon 2".  Glenn was so thrilled to finally see the movie.  It was great too.  I love being able to take the kids to the theater for a good price too.  $8 for 10 movies and parents/grandparents are free.  NICE!!  After the movie I treated the kids to Taco Bell for dinner.  I didn't get anything since I'm still doing Game On Diet.  That was rough and I'm proud of myself.  I came home and made a turkey burger on lettuce with Brussels sprouts.  It was yummy.  After getting the kids to bed (other than Rowan) I worked out to a new Zumba routine.  It was a sweaty one but fun.  I can't wait to do it again.  I nursed Row and put him to bed.

My neighbor posted on FB that her daughter didn't get antibiotics for her ear infection since they wanted to do the wait and see approach so I told he to come and get some oils from me to see if they would help Lizzy get better.  She came and we spent 45 minutes talking about oils, kids, and insurance.  It was a nice visit.  I pray the oils work for her.

Poor Rowan woke up screaming.  He hasn't stopped so I'm going to go and calm him down.  Hopefully it's not his teeth anymore.

Elsa and Anya Love

I have never seen one of my kids grab a hold of something so quickly as Addie has to Frozen.  Right after seeing it on Christmas with Rebecca while she was here she has been playing the two girls, Anya and Elsa.  I honestly didn't even remember those were their names.  It was amazing to me.  She would be climbing/sliding all over the stair rail and post playing parts of the movie.  Our kids along with many in the world were on count down until the movie came out on DVD.  So thankful for the person who got it online that the kids could enjoy watching until we could buy it.

Rough start...Fun ending

Today started out rough with both older kids having timeouts twice in just 10 minutes.  Glenn is voicing his opinion loudly and then when not heard resorts to hitting as does Kaila too.  Sadly they both learned the hard way they need to speak kinder to each other and then seek help from mom or dad if they need it.

Since it's the first I went around and took down as much of the Christmas stuff as I could find.  Kaila bless her sweet soul wanted desperately to help and went upstairs to bring down the items she could find.  She LOVES to help out.  She's so wonderful!  I really dread trying to put everything away.  It never fits but must be done.  I tend to do most of the packing up once the kids are in bed to make things easier on me (much to Kaila's disappointment).

I got super tired in the afternoon after reading to the kids.  The late nights teaching and knitting with Sarah Dover till after 1am and then being up late for New Years did me in.  I told Kevin I was going to nap since Addie was down for a nap too.  I was out for the count so quickly.  Kevin comes in and wakes me up at 4 stating Addie must have never slept because we put her down at 2 and she was up and out playing with the kids at 3 but that a friend and called and if we were going to the movie, Hotel Transylvania, we needed to figure out dinner.  I loved my nap though!  I was so tired.  I got up after reading Addie a story (so cute having her snuggle up with me). I made the kids sandwiches, apple slices, and a little popcorn.  We were taking Addie in with us and driving both cars in case she didn't last (which she didn't, though she lasted longer than I thought she would).  Sadly there was a miss communication between Kaila and I and half the food was left at home.  Overall it worked out fine.  Kevin took Addie home and I stayed with the kids.  It was a funny movie to Glenn and scary to Kaila.  Even Addie was laughing while she was there.

The wind was blowing so hard when we got out that it blew me a little bit.  I looked at Glenn and Kaila to see if they were okay and thankfully they were still on the sidewalk.  We ran to the car.  It amazes me that the little bit of snow we got yesterday is still here since it's so cold outside.  Tonight Kevin said it was 27 degrees out. BURRRRR!  I just wish it would snow enough for us to go sledding in the backyard.  It was so much fun doing that with the kids.

Sarah Dover came over to finish up her hat tonight.  It turned out so cute.  We also watched the Red Curtain adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet".  It's a lot more violent than I remember.  I prefer "The Other Side Of Heaven" that we watched Sunday night together.  I think with all the recent violence and gun shootings in the school at CT and at Clackamas Town Center I can stand people pulling out guns for stupid reasons or even taking the lame way out of situations and killing themselves.  UGH!  Why do people act that way.

Sista Time!

We have had a really fun extended weekend while my sister was here. Saturday Becca and I went to a close friend's baby shower.  Heather's having her first and it's a little girl.  I stayed up late finishing up the little hat I made for here though we stayed up even later finishing the puzzle my mom had set out just that morning. It was 3:30am Saturday before I headed home and then wrapped the presents and went to bed.  It was exhausting but fun! Then we had a playdate at the school with some friends and dinner too.

Me, Heather (Feather), Rebecca, and Laura
er
Rebecca and I were suppose to bring a baby picture of us to the shower.  It was a tough game seeing whose picture matched with whose. (Rebecca on top and Me on the bottom)

Beautiful Dresses Rebecca got for the girls.  They LOVE how they twirl!
We got to have a family dinner on Sunday after church with my brother's family and my parents. Kevin stayed home since he had some work today and watch the Super Bowl game. We played a very fun game using a tennis ball on the table and only using our elbows to hit it back and forth as it rolls from person to person trying to keep it from dropping to the ground. It was hilarious to play. We laughed a LOT!

Monday I did Zumba for the first time. It was fun. I found out I can't do the shoulder shimmy. I tried and tried and tried some more at home. It's embarrassing. Kevin couldn't stop laughing as I tried later that night. It really is funny since all I end up doing is shaking my booty as I try. LOL

Tuesday we went to lunch with my sister and parents. La Carita is a local Mexican restaurant that Becca and I always go to when she's in town. We started taking Kaila too since she LOVES Mexican food too. She remembered our last trip there together when we pulled up in the parking lot. I love how she can remember things so clearly. Later that evening Rebecca took the older two and I to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D. The kids LOVED it. I loved the short beforehand of Rapunzel's wedding. It was super cute. After the movie we indulged the kids on the carousal, playing on the trucks, and play tree center. They were in heaven. It was past dinner by then so we went to Olive Garden for dinner. So good and the kids did great after such a long day.

My Sweet Angel sleeping...she's such a happy girl when she's well rested and fed!

Their FAVORITE...the Carrousel.  Kaila has been BEGGING to go on it again for many, many months.  Her wish finally came true.

Playing on the Coin operated rides...LOVE that they enjoy this without using any coins!

Running and climbing at the Kids play land

There is nothing like a yummy bowl of Zuppa Toscana

Today we hit up the zoo which was wet, empty, but fun. The kids love seeing the animals and running around. It was a good workout too since I was pushing around 70lbs or more up the hills with two kids on the stroller. I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow. Sadly we had to say good-bye to my sister after our outing since she flew home tonight.

The two older kids got to come to activity days with me today. The girls were teaching them some songs with the rhythm sticks. It was so fun. The kids all enjoyed it. Each girl brought their favorite treat too. Lets just say all those kids on sugar was nuts! Fun but crazy. My kids Loved it and hope to come to activity days again.

Sadly Kevin's next job that was set to begin on our anniversary (17th) fell through today.  I'm bummed about it but I know he's even more since it was a big chunk of money and would have given us a nice cushion. We are just praying another job comes his way.  We really want to get to CA this year to see family since it will be 3 year this summer and there is a wedding and small family reunion too.

Today we got so much more packed! We got the keys and I have a TON more painting to do that I never noticed before...UGH! Thankfully my dad is coming to help. The kids LOVED running around the empty house. I think it will be a great move for us. Not looking forward to the stairs especially being 9 months PG and after having the baby BUT it will be a great weight loss I guess. I'm really looking forward to the park/school being just around the corner though for the kids! They will love it this summer.

Preschool went really well today. We finished up our bubble flowers and we had music today. It was lots of fun and the kids did great. DD was a little weird but that could be from the move and all. LM has a really hard time with the move with extra people here and all the boxes. DD seems to adjust pretty well and just asks to watch "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". She's obsessed with that move and it's really a weird movie! LM loves all the music and dancing and loves to bob up and down. It's darling. DD loves to spin around the room.

Tomorrow starts the move of boxes and painting! I pray I have enough energy. It's cray how just one day of packing wipes me out for days. Today's the first day I packed two days in a row and I'm TIRED. I have a lot to do tomorrow too and I even got a nap today. I'll have to have faith that God will give me the strength I need to get through this week and next.

We got an answer to prayer today! DH got a job!!!! I'm so happy. He hasn't worked since February. Our money was getting low and we were trying to have faith that things will work out especially with the move and everything and then he got a call today. He starts tomorrow and works through Friday. He always works when we are moving. This time though he doesn't start until till mid day tomorrow and is thankfully working from home so he's able to help move boxes and unload the trailer that we have packed up before working.

A sweet lady from church brought over lemon chicken for us for dinner along with rice, jello, and brownies. She thought the kids would love the jello and they did! I asked her on Sunday for her recipe for the lemon chicken because I've been craving it and she said, "Does Sarah need lemon chicken. I'll make Sarah some lemon chicken." It was so sweet and wonderful to get a meal dropped off. I never feel like cooking at night after packing. I barely have energy left and my feet are usually killing me by that point. It was VERY yummy too. I still need the recipe though.

We ate pasta salad and for some reason it tasted nasty to me. I couldn't handle the cheese chunks and ended up giving the left overs to our downstairs neighbor. She was thrilled with the meal. She doesn't cook much and I love being able to share things we won't get around to eating. It's a win-win situation.

Sent DH off after dinner and I finally got both kids in bed. DD did much better tonight going to sleep and didn't need one of us to sing to her or hold her hand. I told her I had things I wanted to do I wasn't going to lay with her. She started calling out to me so I said I was going to shut her door and then she said no she wanted the door open. I told her she needed to be quiet then and she has and went to sleep. NICE! I made brownies and will start Anne now. I'm excited to just relax though I miss DH already which is kind of crazy since it's only been 3.5 hours. I'm getting all weepy too just typing it. Must be hormones...

Anniversary (Finally)

Tonight DH and I finally get to celebrate our anniversary! I'm so excited. We are going to the Melting Pot for dinner and then the 3D version of Alice In Wonderland that came out today. I'm so excited to spend some time with just him before I leave for CA and after not seeing him during his crazy work. We've been so busy this week and exhausted that we haven't had any quality time together yet.

Happy 1st Birthday Party LM!!!

Once home from swimming we ate lunch and put the kids to bed so we could get the house ready for LM's party. It was a lot of fun. We only had a few people not show up but had a great turn out. We played follow the choo, choo train, bean bag toss into the train cars, and hot "train". It was fun and I think everyone loved it. LM LOVED his cake and ate almost all of it. He spit up some of it later on while we were driving in the car to get dinner. The poor kid. I think his stomach was shocked by all that sugar. I'm going to need to make a healthier treat for his b-day on Tuesday.

Look Who's Turning ONE!!!
DD was NOT happy about her brother making a mess...you can hear her crying at the end of the video. I had to take her down the hall to the office to calm her down.

Playing: toss the bean bags into the train "cars" (shoe boxes)
Follow the choo choo train...
Presents! All the kids loved playing with them.

Family and Friends

Eating Cake and Visiting

After everyone left DD and LM had fun playing with the trains.
Here's a typically little brother move:

Tonight we got a babysitter and had a triple date with both sets of our parents. It was so fun. We went and saw the movie "Blind Side". It was so good! I asked DH if he's ready to adopt kids now...I think he thinks I'm nuts and that we have enough kids for now. He's right but I do feel a draw to try and better a child's life and give them a place they can call home. The best part about the date was coming home to SLEEPING children!!! LOVE that.

What a day...

Today I went to the spa and got a facial for the first time and a manicure with the gift card I got from DH for Christmas last year. The facial was AWESOME!!!! I can't wait to go back and get another one. The girl that did mine was wonderful and so friendly. I hope that I will be able to get a break and have the money to go again in a few months. It was so nice to get out of the house and be pampered.

DH said I missed an entire 2 year-old melt down from DD too. I came home to both kids napping so that was a nice gift too. DH got LM's cake for tomorrow. I can't believe we will be having his first birthday party already! I hope it will be fun. We have so many people coming and our place isn't that big but DD's turned out fine and there were a ton then too. I also got to take another fun test and got another Christmas present.

The kids were driving us both crazy so we called my DH's mom to see if she would come over and watch the kids so we could head out to a movie and get a break. She agreed so we got the kids in their PJ's and headed out the door. We saw lovely bones. It's so sad and I can't stop thinking about it.

Up, Up and Away!

We watched UP today as a family. LM LOVED the popcorn though DH was freaking out about him choking on it. I know he shouldn't have it but he did great with it and was so cute reaching into the bowl to pull it out. Once I had some in my hand and he picked up and threw it back into the bowl. Then he reached in and got his own handful. It was funny seeing his independence already starting to show. DD surprisingly stayed up through the whole movie and seemed to enjoy it too. I can't wait from more family movie nights.

Daddy's Home!!!

November 20, 2009

So I thought I posted yesterday but I guess I didn't or it didn't post. It was a nightmare all day! DD was screaming non stop and I even put her in her room and ran outside with the baby at one point to have a break from her screaming. My ears were hurting so bad for it. Thankfully we all survived the day and I was able to have a little break since I had YW at church that night so my friends watched the kids for me. I really needed it!

DH got home this afternoon and it's so nice to have him back. The kids were thrilled to see him too. We were only home together for about an hour before DH and I left to go see New Moon together. It was GREAT!!! I loved it. It was so much better than the first movie. I was disappointed in the first one a lot so this one made up for it. I'm really excited to see the third one now! Thankfully DD did great today and was so sweet. It was a wonderful transition from yesterday. I'm really not liking this 2-year-old phase though some days like today are great.

Tomorrow my sister flies in for the week! I'm so excited to be with her again. We are also going to my nieces' play. I think we might be taking the kids with us too so I hope they do well. I think DD will love it since it's Foot Loose.

Single Mommyhood

Life has been so busy as a single mommy with DH's work schedule. I've been busy doing tons of laundry, shopping with the kids (that's NOT fun to do by yourself in the grocery store), Christmas shopping, cleaning, and play dates. I also think I'm going to become a rep and sell Demarle so let me know if you want to learn more about it. It's a fabulous product and I hope things work out. I really would like to just do a party here and there so it's not too much of burden on the family but more would be nice financially. I keep thinking it would be wonderful to get enough saved up for DH and I to make it to Europe for our 10 year anniversary which is in just over a year away. It might work but the kit itself is a good deal so that's what's making me want to do it and friends saying they want to host a party. That's my biggest fear that no one will host a party for me. I think I finally got DH convinced to do it.

We started to watch "Hook" tonight as a family and DD actually really liked it. We only got to the part where Tink is taking Peter to Neverland so I think we will watch the next segment later. She asked a lot of questions and it was fun exploring that world with her.

Poor LM is sick with a cold (day 3-4 now). It's so sad. He's all stuffed up and can't breathe and doesn't know what to do. I suck his nose out all the time and before our early morning nursing session at 6 since he tries to eat but then gasps for air because he can't breathe through is nose. It's so sad. He's still a happy little camper! He took 5 steps on his own tonight!!! He have had the hardest time getting him to want to step on his own without our hands he would rather go down to the floor and crawl or just lean forward. Tonight though he was interested in the saline solution bottle and would step for it. It was funny and exciting!

My precious little Pumpkin!

I guess LM's a lot like one of DH's older brothers that climbed out if his crib at 10 months and also on top of the fridge at like 3 or something yet it was a stand alone fridge without a counter or chair for him to climb. I'm worried now. He's also a bit like my brother right above me. He liked to jump off the couch into the piano trying to climb and ended up in the emergency room numerous times!

Some more pictures by the talented DD..I love how she captures the ceiling like no one else can.

It appears to be so tall!

LM really LOVED dinner (My Dad's Noodle Creation)

So a lot of people have been asking me what Demarle is. So here's a quick answer: it's a cookware product. They sell the silpat (what Subway uses to make their bread). They are a newer company so you might not know about them but there stuff is amazing and addicting to use. So easy to clean up. It's the best for making cookies and anything really. DH even loves it and said it was well worth the money! I actually am thinking of signing up to sell it if DH will let me. We will see.

DD singing one of her favorite songs : Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star (see the diamond shape...that's how she asks for it or wiggles her little fingers in the air for "twinkle"

By the way...The Michael Jackson movie was AMAZING!! I recommend anyone and everyone to go and see it. He seems like the nicest guy and boy does he know his music. He's so talented. His concert would have been the best ever and I don't know if anyone would have been able to top it. It was so fun to see.

April 17, 2009

Today we took another walk up the other direction with the kids in the double stroller this time (DD gave us a fit about holding her hand a few times the day before and I wasn't going to deal with that again). We hit up a strip mall of stores. One we went in was completely for blacks and they looked at us very strangely for coming into the store. We picked up on the vibe and turned around and left. I got to go in my first QVC pharmacy store and then we went to the grocery store which was completely Mexican with Spanish music playing and everything. DH got a drink from there and we walked back to the hotel. DD fell asleep on the way back and I tried calling my sister to tell her she could work longer if she wanted but she had already left. We let DD nap in the stroller in our room and she woke up only about 10 minutes after my sister arrived.

We decided to have lunch at her hotel and see where she works. We never made it over there the last time I was visiting. Her hotel is AMAZING. It doesn't have the complete WOW package that the Plam Springs hotel had but it was very nice and I loved the patio area we are at with the two pools of water and waterfall. Thankfully LM slept through all of lunch and DD ate pretty well. My sister showed us around her hotel and to her office. I fed LM in her office while she took DD and DH around to see some other colleagues and the rest of the resort. It was a beautiful place. Someday it would be nice to go back and lounge by the water and read a book.

This is one of the first photos taken of the hotel back in 1936. They have tried to keep the front looking very much the same which I think it does.

This is an old picture of the inside of the hotel. It look just like that only it has a stable floor now and over thousands of dollars in remodeling repairs to make it safe.
Here's a picture of it now
The Patio we ate lunch at (though it was light then)

After lunch we headed over to a train park that my sister's boss recommendedd her to take us too. His son had his last birthday party there. It was a fabulous park. It had three seperate play grounds. A tiny tots playground, and young childrens playground, and an older kids playground. DD had fun walking all over the playground and climbing the structures and slides. I even took LM down a slide too in the bjorn I was carrying him in. After playing on the structures for about 30 minutes we headed over to the train and carosel. We bought tickets for a dollar for each thing and DD was free for all of it since she's not 2 yet! My sister took DD on the carosel and I took LM while DH stayed behind and took pictures. It was lots of fun and after the shock of being on the horse DD enjoyed it and wanted to ride again! We didn't though since we had tickets to ride the train. We headed over to the train and it took you all around the large grassy areas of the park. It was a good 5 minute ride and DD loved it after getting over the fact that we weren't on the carosel any more.

After the park we went to the mall where they have the movie in the park every Friday night. I fed LM again in the nursing room of the Macy's department. I didn't even know they had a room for nursing but they do and it was lovely. DH looked for shoes for his race the next day with my sister. He forgot his at home. DD had enough of the store by the time I was finished feeding LM so we headed out to the park to sit on the blankets. DH went and got food for me and DD (he wasn't hungry) and I played with DD. We were asked to move our stroller over a million times. It was getting so frustrating since we arrived early so we would have a pick at where we sat and had the stroller all ready by us in case we needed to leave. DH finally just folded the stroller up after taking everything out of it to put by us. DD didn't really care for the pizza DH got us from California pizza kitchen but she did eat the bread. DH decided to walk around with her before the movie started. I went to find him since he had been walking with her for about 30 minutes but I couldn't' find him. I tried calling him yet he didn't answer. I found a place selling ice cream and got some for DD to help her be quiet during the movie. The movie started and DH still wasn't back with DD. I tried to text him some more and he finally wrote back that DD wouldn't let him come back so I ended up gathering all the stuff and putting it back in the stroller by myself. It was a bit frustrating but thankfully we figured out the car situation earlier with my sister if we needed to leave early with the kids. She got a ride with one of her friends that came and we took her car to our hotel and DH would pick her up in the morning for the run.

Once back at the hotel I could tell DH needed a break from DD so I told him to go out and find some shoes since he didn't get the ones at Macy's and some food to eat. I put the kids to bed and watched a movie and started Ella Enchanted that I borrowed from my sister to read. He returned after a couple hours and was rejuvenated. It's amazing how much energy it takes to deal with an almost 2 year-old.

Over all it was a very fun day.

May 19, 2008 (Monday)

Today was DD's last swim class with her friend (they are going to be on vacation during the last class session). It was kind of sad. I won't have a pool buddy to chat with and DD will miss her little friend to splash with. Nana was able to come and watch though which was fun. She was sad she didn't have her camera in her purse though. I noticed that DD is now doing the frog kick in the water! She has come along ways from the first class with stiff legs to now kicking legs. I even turned her over on her tummy and she was splashing with her arms and kicking with her legs. She's beginning to get the idea of actual swimming which is exciting. She just loves the water. She accidentally got a face full of water too with an other little boy and his mommy making a big wave and DD was on her back. She didn't really appreciate it but survived.

Don't you love my crazy frizzy hair after I wake up.

We had fun playing with the box lid right after nap time.

I spent the morning unpacking some more boxes in between feedings and play time. The house is beginning to look more like a house instead of a storage unit. I really can't wait to not see another box unless it's meant to be a storage box. I pray by DD's birthday we have it all put away. I'm amazed at how long it's still taking.

We did take an afternoon break and we had Grandma come over and watch DD for us while she was napping and when she woke up so DH and I could make it to see a movie, "Prince Caspian" based on C.S Lewis collection of Narnia . We realized the last movie we saw was when we dropped DD off with Nana and we saw August Rush last summer! That was a very long time ago. I saw one other movie since at the Hood Theater and DH has gone a few times with some friends but it's been forever since we have gone together. It was so nice to get away. We called after the movie to see how DD was and were able to run and get Oreo Milkshakes from Jack 'n the Box. They were so good. I gave Grandma the last half of mine to say thank-you for babysitting.

For dinner DD ate some potato Pearls and enjoyed some salad fixings. She definitely enjoyed it and got plenty on her face.

That evening we went over to the Karlgaard's to watch Gladiators again. (It's our little tradition which I love). My favorite part is watching the Eliminator. I can't believe how long it takes some of them to complete it. I also like some of the new challenges they have created. I like the flying ball basketball event. I think I would personally just like to fly up like that though I wouldn't like to get hit by a Gladiator while trying to make the basket in the air.

Side Note:
Today I noticed the DD will say "up" when getting out of the jumperoo and "all done" when frustrated she's not out of her chair after meals. Too cute!
