Game On

I started a new "diet" called "The Game On" with some friends from church and their friends/relatives. It's a well rounded diet not just focusing on food but also with changing a bad habit and adding in a good habit. You also have to drink lots of water and get 7 hours of sleep. You also get days off of each scoring category along with a whole day off of food (eating whatever you want). I love how you still get a break and you also get 100 calories of whatever you want to eat everyday. It makes things so much easier. I've discovered a lot while now reading labels at the store and knowing what I want to feed my kids and not feed them. Items saying they are 100% whole wheat might be but could have a TON of sugar in them too which isn't good. I find myself shopping in the natural section of the store, eating a TON more green veggies, trying to balance out my kids snacks with a carb, protein, and healthy fat (nuts/PB). It's wonderful. The kids are now seeing mommy exercises too which before it was mostly just daddy.

DD last week while watching me do jump rope in the garage said, "Mommy, you look like a different girl when you do that." I was doing a double jump backward and a cross over. It was too cute. I love that the kids beg to come out and watch me exercise. I hope they too grow up wanting to be healthy. We catch LM and DD doing exercises/stretching poses all the time. I LOVE it!
