The First stop for Trick-or-Treating started with going to Gresham Town Fair. We have gone every year since having DD. It's a fun tradition and the kids love it. I loved that this year they did it on Friday since Halloween is on Sunday. DD went as Cinderella (dress provided by our sweet friend). I did her hair up and she wore her tights and church shoes (which are now dubbed her "Cinderella" shoes. Last year her black shoes became her pirate shoes even months later.) LM went as a cute lion just like he was for our Preschool party. SP went as a cute little pumpkin. DH dropped us off and went to Costco to get some Christmas presents with the kids. I took the kids around with the other kids and parents from Preschool. I tried getting a group picture but DD wouldn't have it. I was grateful for all the help from the older kids and other adults since I had to feed SP while walking around pushing the stroller. I forgot my phone so I called DH from my friend's phone and found out he was a long ways away. I took the kids in a store to look around and we found a chair and bench to sit on and ate some candy. Since DH couldn't get a hold of me we sat out on the curb waiting for him after about a half hour. The kids were great...candy sure helped keep them happy!

Once we got home DD helped me make a Lemon Meringue pie for the church Trunk-or-Treat and chili/cornbread/pie contest. She loved being able to help out and I loved having someone help stir. I think I'll enlist her help for Thanksgiving too! The food was great at the church and the kids loved the trunk-or-treating. DD is still scared of people in masks or anything scary looking. LM didn't care as long as he got his candy and became and expert at saying "treet." It was a wonderful night!
