Kick the Ball and other Firsts

We signed DD up for soccer today! She starts next Friday. I'm so excited for her. She's going to love it! Poor LM wants to play too but he has to be 3. The poor boy! It always seems like someone isn't old enough to do what they want.

Grandma came and got the older kids today for a play date with her. It was so nice. I put SP down for a nap right before she came and figured I would run some errands when her once she woke up before the kids came back but she slept the entire time they were gone and woke up right as they walked through the door so she didn't even know they were gone. I didn't get my errand done which was slightly frustrating but I guess they will wait till tomorrow.

It was a BEAUTIFUL day here (kind of hot for me actually) but I am starting my Spring Cleaning. I got the linen closet all cleared out and reorganized today and started on the coat closet down stairs. I also switched out the sheets and bedding for a more spring look and can't wait for warmer weather to stay!

We took advantage of the warm weather and played in the backyard after nap time.  The kids loved it.  I decided to try and snap a few pictures too.  Love the sun for that.

I took the kids to the park after dinner and ran them around. LM HAD to take his basketball with him (not his kid size but the normal size). I told him he had to carry it the whole way there and he DID. He loves his basketball, rugby ball, and soccer ball. That kid is so BOY! DD and I played tag which I love for the exercise and she even said she needed to take a break! lol

So DD told me her first story today. As we were walking up the street we got to the fire hydrant and she said, "Mom, want to hear a story." I told her okay. "Once upon a time. There was a fire. The people used the fire hydrant to get the water. They closed it up and the water didn't come out. They lived happily ever after. The end." I said, 'The End!' That was a great story." So cute.
