I woke up feeling worse today (if that's possible). I can barely talk and my throat is so sore! It's horrible. DH went to church by himself today since it's Conference and we had a speaker from Salt Lake come. I had both kids because DD woke up screaming/crying in the middle of the night. She is sick too and has a horrid cough. She acts sick for an hour and plays for two and then acts sick again. It's funny and sad. LM is hanging in there. I can't tell if he's sick or not. I checked his temp yesterday and he was fine. We had a babysitter come and help me with the kids last night since DH went to the Adult Session of Conference. It was nice to have her here to hold the baby and play with DD. So I didn't have to do it all on my own and sick too. DD was very clingy though so she sat on my lap most of the time. It was great for DD to have some time with me and I didn't have to worry about LM.

The weather here has been so crazy! Snow on the ground (very abnormal for Oregon in March) and then we had a huge hail storm and now the sun is shining! I wonder what it will do this evening. Everyone's napping so I think I might try to get another nap in too before I need to feed LM.

Since I have been so sick DH has become "Mr. Mom" and doing the dishes and laundry.
DD ever since she started feeling sick needed to have my balloon from V-day with her. It's like her "blankie". Too funny.

LM enjoying his new "save the Animals" swing. It swings both ways and the mobile spins too! I love it and there are two sets of songs and white noise too. DH did a great job picking it out.

So, I'm still sick but feeling slightly better though my throat is even worse now from all the coughing. I think the medicine is really helping me too which is great. I have a baby shower tomorrow that I really want to go to but I'm not going if I'm still sick. LM and I got to sleep in till 10:30am which was wonderful. I also fell asleep on the couch last night at 8 but then woke up later since LM was throwing a fit. I don't know what was causing him such distress. I feed him even though he had just eaten an hour earlier. That did help. Last night when I was feeding LM he had his little hand up by his face while eating and had his little pinking sticking out. It made me think of him enjoying his "tea". LOL It was pretty cute.

Today DD is with her grandparents so she's getting lots of attention (she's been lacking that since we have been sick) and now we get to rest. It's nice. DH' is out picking up LM a new swing since DD has broken both of the ones we have here. He's getting a big one. We are taking the money from the swing my parents purchased toward the swing which is making it half off! (My mom so tired of pushing our broken swing while babysitting so my dad went and bought one. That was so nice of them.) I wish we could afford a travel one too but that would be almost $200 for both.

DH heard from the police agency here that turned him down that they may have another position opening up sooner than they had originally thought. DH tried calling them back yesterday but they haven't returned his phone call. It seems like a dream that they called.I'm wondering how soon they will have that position open up. We will have to wait and see.

8 months and Growing

DD still loves her swing though it now decides when it wants to work. It will randomly turn itself off which what do you expect from a $9 D.I. find. We got our 9 dollars out of it. It still is her favorite place to eat from.

Today, DD is 8-months old. Only 4 more months till her first birthday party.
