Every since Kaila's been born we have gone to the Richardson's house for Cookie Making before Christmas. We got pictures of Kaila and Shaylee only 6 months old laying on a blanket together in their matching outfits. It's so fun to have a tradition that we have done every year! The kids look forward to it just as much as I do. I love decorating a couple but especially being able to visit with my friends. I love Tanna and am so grateful that she does it every year! The kids made lots of cookies. Kaila was at the table probably a half hour after everyone else putting finishing touches on her creations. It was so cute! How I love her and her talents. She's such a sweet girl. Addie couldn't get enough of all the new toys and it was tough to pull her away to make cookies or even eat pizza. Glenn and Brevin had so much fun playing and decorating cookies together. They are becoming better and better friends. It helps that Brevin loves the same things Glenn does! After the kids played for awhile and I helped clean up the cookie mess we hurried home to get ready for Zoo Lights.
Kaila gave a speech in her first grade class on her favorite Holiday tradition/activity before the Christmas break. She chose to speak on Zoo Lights as her favorite tradition. When Rebecca said she was coming she said we had to go to Zoo Lights and we planned Monday Night to be the night, perfect for FHE. I needed to make/pack dinner for the kids and get them and myself all bundled up. Sadly with all the long night with Rebecca being here and staying up to visit and going all day on Saturday shopping, the drive home from Tanna's exhausted me. I barely made it in the house and crashed on the living room couch. Kevin took Glenn up to get a hair cut at Erin's and I slept. Slept longer than I wanted but was still exhausted. I got up when I was hoping to be finished with everything. I quickly made chicken nuggets and a sandwich for me along with fruit and apple cider (though it was cold at the zoo but the bottle was still warm). I quickly got my leggings on under my jeans with my warm sweater, gloves, coat, scarf, and hat. I gathered the food and water bottles with Kevin's help, blanket and stroller (two strollers are missing...did we really get rid of them both?).

Alice In Wonderland!
Erin came along with us and was able to get Jonathon in for free with her plus pass and we were able to get Rebecca in with ours so it was free all around other than gas. Rebecca bought us all elephant ears to share and hot chocolate. It was super yummy! Everyone had fun though Rebecca and Jonathon weren't prepared for the cold. I gave Jonathon my hat and wore Addie's instead since she had a warm hat on her coat with blankets for the stroller. It was wonderful and they added in a whole new walk way of lights since the train wasn't running this year. We were all glad to be back in the car and get warm again. Surprisingly my feet never got cold and I felt pretty warm this year. I'm pretty sure it's because I'm pregnant which makes me warmer. One added bonus that I'll take with this cold weather.
Tunnel of lights! So pretty
