Happy Moments

From Kevin's Facebook Page:

"Two "Happy Parent Moments" from this week with Kaila: On Sunday I came home from church meetings to find the family room "organized" into a setting for friends to watch a play Kaila had created. She had also hand-written seven or eight invites for other kids in the neighborhood. I had no idea what her play was about yet when I told her it was too late in the evening to invite friends over, but maybe we could do it another night. "But, Daddy I worked really hard!" So I told her she could keep the "stage up" and we could try to do it the next night. At some point as she started moving chairs I mentioned it was a "made up play" and she stopped dead in her tracks. "Daddy, its a play about Baby Jesus. It is NOT made up." 2 - her and I went to the Mt Hood Theater yesterday to watch a movie, which was supposed to be with the whole fam (the other two kids made some sad choices that prevented them from going). Every day we ask the kids to tell us what their favorite thing and their hardest thing was and then talk about it. I was fully expecting going to the movies to be hers, but she said, "Even though it was sad that Glenn and Addie couldn't go, my favorite thing was spending time with you." It was awesome that it was the time spent, not the movie per se that she loved! These kids make my heart happy."
