Barton + Soccer = Fun Day

Kaila's like Backyard league had an away game today at Barton Park.  With so many of the team members camping for memorial day weekend they scheduled to have the game there.  It was fun and they allowed more kids to play.  Glenn got to run out and play for awhile which he loved until something happened which 

ended with him running to us in tears and refusing to play again.  Oh well, with a playground next door who wouldn't want to go explore. Addie and Glenn both loved the playground.  Kaila loved picking the flowers (following Daddy's shoes there as well).  :-)

After the game the kids enjoyed exploring and playing in the trees, riding bikes, scooters, playing on the play ground and enjoying time with each other and friends.  We also enjoyed a potluck that each team member's family provided some part of the meal.  It was great and so fun to sit around and chat with the other adults while the kids played.  Addie did a great job staying dry in her underwear too which was a blessing since I forgot to bring extra for her to change into.

On the way home we spotted a guy selling hanging flower plants in Boring for $10!!!  I was so excited not wanting to pay $25 each for some for the porch.  Kevin obliged the kids and my desire and let us pick up two before heading the rest of the way home.
