We had a long morning. DD was so cranky and whiny that after about 10-15 minutes straight of her being cranky and getting constantly in trouble I told her she needed to go back to bed. I grabbed her hand and she stopped and the stairs, pointed down, said some gibberish, I asked if it was her binky and she nodded, went down the stairs and came back up with her binky in her mouth. We walked to her room and she climbed into bed and went to sleep for about 20 minutes. She was a new person after her little nap. She woke up happy! It was great. Her afternoon nap was pushed back an hour or two but that was fine. It was wonderful. I was able to get a load of laundry done and my shower taken.

It was funny while I was in the shower I thought I could here DD running up and down the hall and I thought to myself, "Dang it, she's finally learned how to open the doors." I fully expected to see her when I got out but I checked and she was still sound asleep. I'm guessing it was the TV since I forgot to turn it off.

DH called me today too and he got locked out of my parents car down at the river. He's taking a white water rescue training class and he took a key off the key ring and left the remote in the car but didn't realize there's a separate key for the doors. My parents are in Boise so we had to call a lock smith to come and open the car. I brought him lunch and waited to pay the bill since he had class going on. The kids liked seeing Daddy and thankfully DD had that early nap earlier so she was happy and the social butterfly with one of DH's classmates.

Since we were already out we stopped by my old school so everyone could meet LM. I've been sick or on vacation all this year and never got a chance to get up to the school. They only have 3 more days left for kids so I wanted to get there and it was fun. DD loved all the drawings painted on the walls but wouldn't let anyone hold her except she did give a hug and kiss to my old co-worker that was in my same classroom. It was fun. We all came home and took naps. I tried reading a book but fell asleep. DH came home and slept too. Poor guy was swimming in the the freezing water all day!

My friend b-day party was tonight so we went out to eat as a group and it was fun. I loved having some one-on-one time with just LM too. We had fun having him laugh. He has the funniest laugh when you take his feet and clap them on his cheeks. He also rolled over from back to front on his own. All I had to do was hold his shoulder a little and he did it. He's so close! He doesn't really know how to go from stomach to back though. He was scooting along the floor though and trying to crawl. He has the leg feet motions down but hasn't figured out needing to move his arms. He went a good foot or so though. It was so cute with his little bum up in the air.

So far the plan we are doing for DD's birthday party is Mel (dog) theme, the dog on Jack's Big Music Showy. She loves that show and dogs so I thought it would be perfect and way better than Barney. Though if I was a really GOOD/NICE mother I would do Barney/Bop. I like the colors though of Mel: lime green and pink so that is what the decor is. It should be fun. My friend is making a Mel dog cake and another is making an adult cake with kiwi and strawberries -- in keeping with the colors. We are doing water stuff with a slip-n-slide, ball sprinkler, water whacking mat, and baby pool. It should be lots of fun I hope.
