Happy Birthday Mommy! I can't believe my mom's celebrating her 73rd birthday today. God gave her a great gift of sunshine for her birthday which was very nice of him. The winds have finally died down a little to which allows you to enjoy the sun instead of run from the wind. :-) I called my mom since she didn't make it to the Stake Women's Conference at church she said she was busy on the phone dealing with Living Social and trying to purchase this beach deal for Long Beach, WA for her and my dad to use Sunday night through Tuesday. I was so sad that she missed the conference...more from not being able to see her there. I was going to stop by afterward but I had already been gone 5 hours and felt I really should get home to my family which she agreed was the best idea. She'd been having a great birthday otherwise and was able to go to Gustav's for dinner with my dad the night before and then tonight my brother was taking her to Salty's for dinner. Then after church they were driving to the beach for a couple days. How nice I told her to have a little birthday week. She pondered that thought and agreed that it was nice. She doesn't get spoiled that often and I could tell it was nice for her.
We called her up to wish her a happy birthday but she was gone to dinner and then dad didn't answer his phone so we called back the home phone to leave a message. We all sang "Happy Birthday" and then each person went around to say "happy birthday" to which Glenn added "love you" and everyone else added on to their message too. Addie added to hers "I miss you." It was cute. I called my mom later that evening after the kids were in bed to see if she got the message since they don't always check the message machine. She hadn't so I told her she needed to listen to if for her birthday song.
Later I received this email (the get well was referring to my two migraines that week):
Dear Daughter,
The phone call was just too precious!! Daddy is going to try to record it on his phone. We will keep it forever!
Hope you can get well, quickly. Love you, Sweetie. Mom
