Hectic Morning

November 14, 2009

Today was a hectic morning. I got woken up by DD yelling for me since she had finished her cereal and was strapped in her chair and DH had left to ref the volleyball game tournament at church. LM was still sleeping on the bed from nursing at 7am. I knew he was still tired and he finally went back to sleep with me shhing him. I got DD down and started making the food for the "Welcome to the World" party for my friend's little girl, Lydia. Halfway through fixing stuff DD asks if baby is still sleeping and I said yes. The next thing I hear is her in his room saying, "Hi" as loud as she can which wakes him up...lovely! I was trying to get everything prepped before waking him up. I wasn't very happy with DD for that and she knew it so then she became VERY whiny. I was on a conference call this whole time too for my new business--thankfully they have a mute button so everyone didn't have to listen to both my children screaming. I think it took me muting and unmuting my phone 10 times before I got a question in I had. My mom wasn't answering her phone either (cell was off, home just rang) and she was suppose to babysit and I needed to reminder. I finally got a hold of her 15 minutes after she was going to arrive. I wasn't ready either though. I was so busy that I got everything packed up and realized I forgot to wrap my present. UGH! It was a bit stressful since it looked like I would arrive at the party as it was about to start.

Thankfully no one else was there and the first guest (my MIL) came 10 minutes late. What a blessing everyone was late. We were able to get everything set up and it was wonderful! I just love having a break in the day and being able to visit with my friends. I will need that refueling with my long week ahead without DH.
