July 6, 2009

Today I took DD to her swim class. She is learning so much more. Today they even swam a little on their own with their arms over their heads and us flying them to the steps and letting go while they reach for the step. She did great. Her favorite thing to do by far is jumping in the pool from the side. My mom came to watch the baby (his nap time) and when I got home she had folded all the laundry I had finished and switched the clothes from the washer to the dryer too! It was wonderful. I told her she can come over every laundry day. Ü

After lunch I packed the kids up and headed to the post office to mail out my present. I can't believe I kept forgetting to mail it. Thankfully they said it would get there Wednesday with Priority shipping. I pray that it does. DD helped me push the stroller. It worked out really well too since I held open the door and she pushed it through. It was so cute. All the ladies in line behind me love watching her interact with LM. He even reached out his hand to her which the ladies all loved and commented on how much they must love each other. It was a proud mommy moment. I'm so blessed with two wonderful kids.

My parents came over for dinner tonight. It was nice having the company since DH's been working so late and I barely see him before bed time. DD had fun with Pa's dog and interacting with everyone. I am grateful for the man (person) that created ketchup though. DD said she was all done with dinner before we even said prayer. She finally ate when I put ketchup on her plate to dip her pork in. She devoured the meat then.

DH got home early which was wonderful. He had an hour before we put DD to bed. They threw rocks together outside, she had him sit on the floor for her to jump in his arms (one of DH's favorite moments), and she made sure Daddy was the one to read scriptures and do her bedtime routine. It was so cute. I know she's been missing him a lot lately.

Yesterday after church we drove over to DD's friend's 2nd birthday party. Thankfully DD napped in the car for a little ways so she wasn't completely cranky for the party. We ended up leaving early though since LM was needing a proper nap and wouldn't sleep with all the noise and DD needed more rest too. It was fun to celebrate for a little while and DD was so good about letting her friend open her own presents.

LM entertained himself at the party with his snazzy footwork.

DD invited DH over to her table for tea
