JULY 18, 2009

Today was so much fun yet exhausting too! We took the kids into downtown Portland. It was LM's first trip there. We first went to Powell Books (Google this book store if you haven't been there or know of it. It's aMAZing!!!) We bought almost a $100 worth of kid books. I told DH we need to hurry out of the store since we were about to spend $100 but was hoping it wasn't that much but it was $94 so that was close enough. I'm shocked at how much some books are. Seriously don't they realize these are KID books. DH's friend met us there and then we all went out for Thai food afterward and then hit up the sand sculptures at Pioneer Courthouse Square. It was fun. We went last year too with DD and my sister and brother's kids. I think we might make it a tradition to go every year. DD got a balloon and loved the music and some of the sculptures. As we were walking back to the car there was a guy playing a didgeridoo on the sidewalk. I was holding DD at the time and asked her if she wanted to dance and she said she did so I let her down and once she started dancing a crowd started to form around her. It was awesome. She just LOVES music. They guy heard DH say her name and then started saying, "Hi (her name)" through his instrument. She didn't know what to think of that at first but then thought it was funny. It was 3 by the time we made it back to the car and both kids had crashed and slept the whole way home plus more once home. It was lots of fun!

LM was only eating 3 oz for a long time. I think around 3-4 months he jumped up to eating 4 oz and now is finally going to 4.5-5 oz at 6 months.

For some crazy reason DD LOVE Lady Gaga's "Poker Face".
(I'm thinking maybe it's the repetition???)

I love that whenever she sings "poker face", DD actually pokes her face--hilarious!
