DD is 2!!!!

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!!

I can't believe my little girl is 2. She is the light in our life and brings laughter everywhere she goes. It's been so fun watching her grow up these past few months and years. She's talking so much more now (about 50 words) and picking up more everyday. This past week she is begging to hold her brother and loves to be with him and often will sit by him and read him stories. She's the best little girl we could ever ask for and I just love all her expressions, hugs, and kisses!

This morning was so fun. DH was gone for a church meeting but I didn't want him to miss DD seeing all the birthday decor that I put up last night and all the balloons he blew up. I took LM in her room and we played and sang Happy Birthday and I changed her into play clothes. Thankfully DH just home just after that and video taped her seeing her birthday decorations. She loved it and was oohing and telling us to look ('ook) at everything. It was so cute. Her favorites' were the balloons on the ground to throw up and and then she spotted the two big helium balloons (her favorite that shes been pointing to every time we are at the store and wanting. I promised her she would get a balloon for her birthday so she got two. --thanks Dollar Tree!!)

Yummy Birthday Breakfast: Eggo's, banana, and milk!
Waking up and playing with her balloons! "'Ook Daddy- laloon's! Laloons!" She loved tossing the baloons in the air for a VERY long time. So fun.

We are going to church and then both sets of grandparents are coming over for dinner. It should be fun yet relaxing. I did switch her birthday party to this Saturday which was a good thing since it was cold and wet yesterday. I pray it's nice this Saturday but if it's not I'm already thinking of some alternative games and such to do inside.

DD loved church and waved hi to everyone in the halls while leaving. She took a 3 hour nap which was wonderful and LM took a 2.5 hour nap so we were able to get dinner all prepared without kids around. Both sets of grandparents were able to come and DD loved all the attention. She loved all the clothes I got for her and made sure everyone was able to see everything and even held it up for pictures. Too funny. She got a basketball hoop from Daddy and LOVES it. She played for at least 15 minutes straight and even made a bunch of baskets. My friend made a yummy cheesecake and DD blew out her candle 3 times before we could finish singing Happy Birthday to her. I only practiced with her blowing out a candle three times this morning too. I was impressed. She loved it! Over all it was a wonderful day. I still can't believe my baby girl is 2! That went by so fast. LM will be 5 months in just 5 days too and that's hard to believe. I need time to just stand still.

LM just chillin' and finding his thumb again.
Birthday Dinner--Baked Ziti-- with her grandparents (both sets), opening presents, and blowing out her candle. She loved the strawberry--the cheescake, not so much.
