I'm going to my friend's house today so she can help me tend to the kids so my back can rest! She's such a sweetheart and 20 weeks PG too! The sun is shining here and it's beautiful!

LM fully took steps with BOTH feet today. He was just stepping up and out with his left foot but today as I was showing my friend he stepped with BOTH feet! I think we may have an early walker. He loved it. He stopped naturally once the camera was rolling...taking after his sister. Camera shy- we have to get sneaky now!Thank goodness for good friends!!! My back is feeling so much better since my friend helped me out all day today. I was dying earlier. After I posted I went to put the baby in the car seat and he had blown out of his diaper everywhere (up the front and back). I just placed him cloths and all in the tub and gave him a bath which was rough with my back already hurting and DD climbing up my back and all over me trying to "help" and see what I was doing. I think it took me another 45 minutes before I was able to leave. My friend met me outside and helped take things in the house which was so nice! We had fun together. We met her sister for lunch at Red Robin (yummy- and DD ate a lot of her Parmesan noodles) and then knitted together while the kids were napping. I stayed and ate dinner with them too and DH came over after he got off (around 8) and we had dessert and came home about 9. It was a wonderful day and DD loved playing with her friends all day and getting some much needed attention.
I lined up for her to go over to Grandma's for some play time tomorrow morning and then I may head out with my friend again to her sister's house for the rest of the day. DH is working from 8am to 2am. Yes- ALL DAY (on a Saturday)!!!! I feel terrible for him but me too since I have the kids by myself again all day. It's a lot to just lift and take care of them. I pray my back is better in the morning.

One of my friend's asked me how I get DD to leave her hair pretties in her hair. . .
What I do still -- is ask DD if she wants pretties in her hair. She will say "yes" and after I fix her hair I have her look in the mirror at her "pretty hair" and tell her how pretty it is over and over. She loves it and once she sees it she leaves it alone. She now runs to show daddy her pretty hair or to her mirror in her room after I fix it.
