I'm so exhausted! I took the kids to the zoo this morning with DH's mom for the scavenger hunt. It was lots of fun and we hurried through it but stopped long enough to get an elephant ear to eat. We saw the lions for the first time (new exhibit that opened) but they were so far away that I told DH we have to go back again as a family and hopefully they will be closer to the glass then.
This was the first time we got to see a trainer with the goats/sheep. It was fun watching them obey all the different signals. I didn't know you could train them like that. It was very interesting to watch. It was the Tiger's birthday today too (shares it with my brother)! He got lots of treats inside of pumpkins. What fun.
The kids slept on the way home but woke up as I dropped off my MIL so I took them over to my friend's new house (they moved in today). I watched her 2 week-old baby and her two girls so she could unpack a little though we didn't have much time before we headed to the mall to trick-or-treat. The three girls LOVED it. The bread store had little cinnamon rolls to eat and LM LOVED it. They had them dyed green for the Holiday.
After that we headed to my friend's parent's house to feed the babies, got dinner, then headed around the neighborhood for a little trick-or-treating. It was fun and the kids zonked out in the car right away even though it wasn't even 8:30. I was tired too but had a lesson to prep for church tomorrow. Another friend is getting induced tomorrow night so she asked if I could do her lesson for her. I hope it makes sense tomorrow since I'm so tired and brain dead.
DD quotes for the day:
(While looking up in the sky the moon peaks out from behind the clouds.) She points up and says: "Ball, ball?" I tell her no it's the Moon. "Oon, Moon."
(While trick or treating she goes to this one house and the lady has play dough, glow sticks, candy and other things.) I asked DD what she got and she pulls out a pencil from her bag and says, "stick, STICK!"
