Today the kids were great during the morning and HORRIBLE this afternoon. LM woke up after only 20 minutes or so of an afternoon nap which is usually 2 hours (sometimes even longer). I only got 10 minutes to myself (that's NOT good since I was planning on taking a nap too). LM had to be held the whole time and was fairly cranky. I tried to put him back down 3 times before he finally fell asleep. DD threw a huge fit not wanting to pick up some food she threw on the floor and went screaming down the hall by her brother's room and even tried going in his room! I was so irritated with her since she was so loud and would wake LM up and I had finally gotten him to sleep and he really needed to sleep. I think she did wake him up since he woke up only a few minutes later. DH had to finish up some work once he got home too so I was still taking care of them by myself. DH was annoyed with the crankiness too and had only been around it for 5 minutes! It was so nice to see bed time approach. I also escaped by defrosting our freezer (taking advantage of the heat).

I'm taking LM in for his 6-month checkup in the morning. I'm wondering if he's 18lbs yet (the same weight DD was at her 1 year appointment). DD is lucky and gets to play with her friend while I am there. I'm hoping all goes well with DD so I am able to come home for a while and pack everything up in the car for the trip so I don't have to do it Wednesday morning and get all stressed out. I also want to go to knitting and relax tomorrow night!
