OUCH!

Today was so SAD!!! DD was out in the field with my dad who was fixing the fence. She and the dogs were walking around and the stepped on a wasp nest. My dad heard her scream and ran over to her and saw them swarming around and patted her down and ran her to the house. I heard her screaming from inside and went to see what was wrong and my dad said bees. I grabbed her and stripped her clothes off. There were three wasps that fell out of her shirt. I ran her to the tub and turned the cold water on and ran it over her (of course she had a poopy diaper too so I had to deal with that as well.

My mom got on the phone with the doctor (who wouldn't give her any info because she wasn't on their system--she was but my mom didn't know we have the same insurance). My mom was so mad. I got on the phone again after putting a mixture of baking soda and water on her tummy where I saw the sting and on her knees. She was screaming the whole time and kept saying "Pa" over and over again. I kept telling her that Pa helped her and Bees hurt her so she wouldn't associate the pain to my dad. I think it worked and my dad came and told her how sorry he was for her getting hurt by the bees. He said the same thing happened to him when he was 12 and stepped on a nest. He was wearing pants and the flew up them and wouldn't get out. OUCH!!

After finally getting through to a nurse she told me to make a mix of meat tenderizer and water and put on them so we did that too and then to watch her breathing and if she got a temp of 106 to bring her in. I would never wait till it was 106 though! I think that's crazy. DH brought some children's Ibprophen over for her to take and I had her with her feet in the sink to rinse off the tenderizer (she did NOT want to go in the tub). She then washed her hands a thousand time over and played in the sink with her feet inside with the bowl I used to mix the stuff in. She was happy then (she slid in the sink once--funny to sight to see, though she didn't like it). She was running around after the meds kicked in.

Grandpa (DH's dad) was there too dropping their 5th wheel off (they store it on my parents property) and he came and gave loves to DD. He took her outside to play on the swing set but that didn't last long because DD freaked out when she saw any little bug flying in the air. Poor girl! She was itching too this afternoon which woke her up early from her nap but once her second dose of meds kicked in she was doing better.

Sad video but I wanted to document what they looked like in case they got worse. My poor girl. It breaks my heart to watch this.
