Grandparent's Dinner

For Glenn's last birthday celebration we had the Grandparent's dinner.  Glenn requested pancakes (can you see the theme of breakfast foods...crepes, waffles, and pancakes).  I sadly came down with a migraine while driving back from the temple.  I felt it coming on earlier but was trying to push it off.  Kevin went to the temple the day before, my eyes hurt so bad I knew I wouldn't make it through a session when he offer that I go instead that day but I said I'd wait to go the next day.  I felt better but then knew something was off and rested an hour before heading out to to the temple.  On the way back my eyesight was getting blurry.  I prayed and prayed for God to help me.  Thankfully one eye seemed to stay in focus for me.  I recalled my peppermint beadlets in my purse and got one out and prayed that would help my headache which it did a lot! God is so good. I made it home and promptly drank some water, put oils on, and went to bed.

Kevin bless his heart made the entire dinner for everyone while I slept upstairs.  I finally decided after the oils weren't really helping a lot to just take some meds.  One dose I prayed wasn't going to harm the baby and I couldn't function for the birthday celebration they way I felt.  I turned off all the lights I could and took the meds once everyone was here.  I also found the last can of Mt. Dew and everything together really helped me!  Once again God is so good to me.

Dinner was delish with sausage from Vaughn and Suzi and pancakes by Kevin.  We then enjoyed putting puzzles together while Pa ran home to get the birthday cards they forgot (all the 2012 cards) and Glenn's. The kids loved putting together the huge Winney the Pooh Puzzle.  Then Glenn brought down his Avengers puzzle he got and showed everyone how he could do it on his own.  Pa got back and we all opened our cards and then he opened his gift from Grandma and Grandpa.

After Puzzles and Gifts we ate Rocky Road Ice Cream for dessert.  Glenn wanted marshmallow ice cream and since I already had some in the freezer it worked out well!
Rocky Road Ice Cream for dessert!  YUM

Glenn loved his gifts from Grandma and Grandpa.

I LOVE getting a Grandparent Picture with the kids.  I love that they are privileged to have both sets to live so close to them and I'll continue taking pictures for as long as I can.  I just LOVE all the love in those pics.
Better Pics are on Kevin's Camera but these will have to do since it will be another year before we most likely will see those pics.  Every year right before Glenn's birthday we get all the pics from the year downloaded.  Now that his computer is acting up it might be even longer since we have to get my Dad to do it and transfer it to out external drive.
