As was predicted we woke up to some beautiful snow on Sunday. It was so exciting. Thoughts even entered my head that we might have a "snow" day from church...though with the sun coming out and melting most of the snow away by noon those thoughts ended. The kids and I had fun running out in the snow. I couldn't stop them from running out to even get a coat on them. Kaila slipped on her boots by the sliding door and ran out in her night gown. Glenn was a little slower in getting on his boots so I was able to grab and throw his coat on him. Kaila came in shortly cold and got her coat. Addie then woke up so I put a pair of my wool socks on her feet and legs and a fleece jacket and Kaila's vest to keep her warm. She LOVED being outside! Glenn was having a HARD time getting any snow on him...whining entailed each episode. I'd finally had enough and told him to go in and get socks on or be done. He said he was done. We all were hungry anyway so we got some breakfast and watched as the sun melted the snow away.

Addie's first real taste for snow |
Church is rough for me right now with Addie. I'm on countdown for nursery. She has just 5 more weeks before I'm taking her in and then she's officially in the first week of March! She's too loud in most every meeting so I end up in the hall most of the time (though last week a miracle occured and I was in RS the WHOLE time!). This time she managed to have my phone make noise, get angry at me for taking away, screa bloody murder even in the hall for wanting my phone. Then she ran around in the hall and ended up throwing up/spitting up on her dress and down my shirt. (YUCK!) I went back into RS and grabbed my purse for wipes to clean us up and that ended my attempts to stay in RS.
One blessing from all of that was being told that Kaila would be giving a talk on Sunday. I knew she would be so excited but sad for Glenn. He would be devastated to know that Kaila got to do TWO things before he had his chance to get up there. I asked when it was Sunbeams turn. She said she waits till the end of the year to assign them. I said Glenn was going to freak. She said that was why she waited. I corrected her and said no he WANTS to do it and would be so upset that Kaila was having another turn and he still wasn't having a turn. She was shocked and then said he could do scripture and prayer next week if he wanted then. Yeah!! I just pray he does well now. He'll just have his birthday so that's exciting and officially be 3. :-)
