Today LM said his first 4 word sentence. He said while telling DD that he wanted to Pray, "No, I say it." I've been paying close attention to what he's saying since I have to write down his two-word sentences for his 2-year check up later this week. He's so far ahead speech wise than DD was. We were begging to get 20 words by this point with her and I think that she had about 24 at this point.
He also managed to say is own prayer for the most part...at least he was beating me to the punch so I was filling in the prayer with the filler words.
Me: Dear Heavenly
LM: Dear Father
Me: Thank thee
LM: Food
Me: Please bless the Food
LM: Addie
Me: Thank thee for Addie
LM: Daddy
Me: Thank thee for Daddy
LM: Amen
Me: Name of
LM: Jesus, Amen
Me: Jesus Christ, Amen.
His basic prayer without my help: Dear Father, Food, Addie, Daddy, Jesus Amen.
Oh so cute. I just love hearing my children pray. I love how they fight over who gets to say the prayer and the thought they put behind them. Lately most prayers have been for Grandma Sharon- (why? I ask) heart and Kidneys & Nana- knees. It's just touching to hear them pray for others.
