GROWING UP

Today LM wanted to sit on the potty again and didn't want to put his diaper back on so I moved his potty out the living room and we sat feeding him smarties while he watched a show and had him drink fluids. After almost an hour he was done and DH and I were done sitting there with him. We played blocks on the wood floor and then he went and sat on the potty again while DD read him some books and he drank his juice. Then he started to go and walked over to Daddy to tell him while peeing across the floor. We cleaned up that mess and then he sat back down again. A few minutes later he brought something over to me and started peeing again (on the side of the couch and floor (thankfully missing my computer)). I got him to sit on the potty at the end of that session and then the next time he went but some landed outside the potty but he was sitting on it this time! We were so proud of him. He got a sucker for a treat and called all the grandparents to tell them. He was a VERY happy camper. Then we put his diaper on him and he ate lunch. I asked him if after nap he wanted to sit on the potty again but he said no. A little later he said poop and went to sit on the potty but DH wanted him to come to the big potty and I saw his face that meant he wast starting to go so we ran him in his poop was coming out and we got it in the potty. He was SO happy about that. He was jumping up and down. He got another sucker and more phone calls to the grandparents. A very happy day here!!! I'm so happy for my Big Boy. I doubt it will happen again tomorrow but it's progress on his terms.
