Thankful for a Dusting of Snow

So I did preschool today since it's Thanksgiving and didn't want to do it right before having everyone over since Wednesday will be a baking/cleaning day. We made fall trees with paint and carrots as "brushes". It was great except LM's tantrums. He's either teething/getting sick/or just being 2! All the kids were bickering at the beginning of class and it was driving me crazy. If I would have been teaching and had the kids for another 5 hours for a normal school day they would have been getting a movie later on. It was nuts! Thankfully the other kids did great during the art activity and everyone loved their snack too! I'm glad it ended on a great note.

DH's brother got into town today so he went over to see him with SP during preschool and they came over afterward for lunch and more visiting. DH's sister drove up too and we all went out along with DH's parents to dinner. Thankfully the kids did GR
EAT and DD even read books to LM to keep him happy while waiting for their ice cream. Surprisingly DD ate 1-2 bites and said she didn't want any more because she was full. Really...what 3 year-old doesn't eat ice cream? She's so good about sweets...LM on the other hand LOVES them.

We all headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's afterward and there was a TERRIBLE accident on the road. The car had the entire top ripped off it and a mailbox was about 20 feet away from where it should have been. The ambulance left right before we got to the scene. I'm guessing the person was going too fast and the was a light dusting of snow on the ground.

DD was so excited to see the snow on the ground and we started to sing "Once there was a Snowman." More fell while we were visiting but not too much but now everything has a little layer of white. It's so pretty! I love a little snow even though DH's not too thrilled about it. He HATES being cold. I love looking at it though and it's fun thinking we might have a white Thanksgiving!
