S is for Spider

Today for Preschool we were previliaged to see a canadian blanket for show 'n tell. It was fun having the kids guess what the picture was on the blanket as we were spreading it out and then talking about the number of leaves and colors. I'm hoping as the year progresses the kids will be able to ask more questions on their own without needing my promptings too.

We also worked on the letter "S" and started our spider egg sacs. We will have to finish them next week after they have dried. It was a VERY messy art project and the kids were too timid to work on it with me so I ended up doing the icky part though they picked out their balloon and still got an apron on while I wrapped the goopy string around the balloon. I made a few more after class in hopes to make a collage of them for our house. I pray they work out like I read they are suppose to.
