Since our ward boundary changes we haven't seen some of our friends that we use to see all the time. I told DH that I wanted to have dinner with one family and we figured Monday night was the only night since the mom works mostly night shifts (while her babies are sleeping...wanting to spend as much time with her little boys as she can...I admire that!). I asked DH to call Sunday to see if they were open the next night but he forgot but luckily they were open when we called in the morning. They brought over a salad (we didn't know what we were having yet). We ended up picking up Popeye's for dinner after the dentist appointments. The day was so busy that we decided on something easy and it was yummy!
After dinner we did a mini family home evening. DH read "Noah's Ark" to the kids and we asked DD some basic questions after ward. Who built the ark? How many of each animals were taken on the ark? It was a great little lesson with songs and prayer. We ended with eating some yummy chocolate chip cookies with added peanut butter chips. They are SO GOOD!!! I'll have to post that recipe soon.
