Day of Love--an no it's not Valentine's Day or our anniversary

October 24, 2009

Today has made me reflect on many perspectives of love. DD had one of her BFF's over to play again. They LOVE each other so much though at times they just fight. Isn't life like that some times. You fight with those you LOVE the most. Interesting that happens even at such a young age too. Today surprisingly they played so well together. I think DD would add to her list of LOVES "Stucker" (Suckers).

My mom came over today--dropped everything to serve me. I was able to go grocery shopping by myself and that was wonderful thanks to my mom staying with my kids. Upon my return she found the clothes I had washed and was almost finished folding them. What a wonderful action of LOVE. My sweet daughter was trying her best to fold them with her too. So sweet. She tries her best to serve and help out. Tonight she saw me giving LM a snack that was on the couch and she went to his snack drawer and handed me two of his snack all without being asked. What LOVE she has for her brother!

LM causing more destruction in his wake

This brings me to another love. I LOVE that LM can move around more. Yes this causes more work for me in the clean up area but it's so nice fore him to be happy and get where he wants to go and to get what he wants instead of crying every few minutes because he can't reach what he wants or is tired of what he has. That's the way life was just a month ago. I prefer this a lot more. I also LOVE to see the pleased look on his face when he's figured something out and has completed a task he's set in his mind to do.
(DD figured out how to balance her sippy of milk on the arm of her chair...Talent!)
I just LOVE DD's new perfected "Cheesy" grin. Every kid gets one at some point in their life and DD"s got hers down to a T. I actually think she even knows when she's making the face and can even tilt her head to the side as if to say, "I'm so cute."
(She's so Goofy and I love it.)

While shopping today I discovered how much I LOVE sales again. There were so many wonderful meat sales. I wasn't actually planning on buying any meat but so many people were over in that area that I decided to go and scope out what was going on. I was doing a stock up grocery trip anyway. Thankfully a kind gentleman let me in on the secret that this roast that was normally I think $5 a pound was on sale for $1.99 and if you told them at the checkout that they were out of coupons then we would get the sale. What LOVE for him to share this info with me. I also found a wonderful deal on hamburger at almost half off and some half chicken breasts for less than a dollar a pound.

Tonight DH was able to watch his "LOVE"--UCS football. He has LOVED this team since he was really little. His entire extended family roots for USC. Tonight they took on Oregon State and won which was fun to watch him celebrating them scoring their touch downs along with sharing this LOVE with his children. Even LM was getting into it and smiling and raising his little arms. DD was cheering and saying, "Fight On!"

Then tonight DH and I were able to sit by each other on the couch and devour some delicious chocolate covered strawberries. Really is there anythings less amazing? Chocolate and strawberries were made for each other. Tonight though I found a new LOVE--White chocolate dipped strawberries rolled in coconut. YUM! They are SOOOOOOOO good.
