June 8, 2009

What a night . . . LM was up all night! Sadly I was too. He woke up at about 2, 2:30, 3:30, 4:50, 6:20, 7:00 when I finally took him out to DH and said I HAD to get an hour of decent sleep before he left for work and placed LM in the swing and shut the door. I think it was a combo of teething and he may have had a poopy diaper. He never has one at night but he was dirty this morning when I changed him so now I'm wondering if that's what kept waking him up. Poor boy! We are all exhausted tonight though. I just almost fell asleep again on the couch reading the post and it's just after 11.

DH just got a job offer for Wednesday and Saturday working on "Little People, Big World" TV show. Exciting but that's DD's b-day party on Saturday. I have mixed feelings about having him work (money and opportunity for more jobs versus missing the party and feeling guilty about it...). He asked what the time for the shoot was and what the pay is then we will decided. We are still celebrating on Sunday with the grandparents which is her actual birthday so he wouldn't miss everything completely. I hate things like this.

Here's a pic of DH's new scooter that he "traded " (we sold a long time ago) his little car in for. It gets great gas mileage--the opposite of DH's car, and will be his commuter/errand vehicle. DD is in LOVE with it.

I was taking DD to the library today for story time and on the way over I was driving down the road and she started yelling out, "Karey, Karey!!!" I was in shock. How did she know we were close to her house. (Yet we would need to turn on the next road, turn again, and turn once more to get to her house). I was impressed she knew where we were at. I stopped the car and asked her if she wanted to go to the library or see her friend. She said Karey (Karley) so we went to my friends house and hung out. We went to Target and I returned some stuff and bought WAY too much too. DH says that we are becoming, "One of THOSE parents" that buys their kid too much stuff and they don't even know what it's all about. I guess but never thought of it like that since she needs clothes so I've been getting some here and there but it all adds up and she does have a lot of toys and clothes. Yikes! I've been trying to see what I can take back or maybe see what some of her other friends might like for their B-days too since some are coming up in July.
