Yesterday DH took DD on her first Daddy/Daughter camp out. She had so much fun and was great about going to sleep at night too. DH said she kept wanting to touch him to make sure he was still there beside her. DH also had her call me to say good night which was so sweet. I just love her. She said she ate lots of "yum, yum" marshmallows. He jeans were all covered in dirt so I know she had a wonderful time!
My friend and I hung out all night together which was fun. We tried out a new Chinese place that a friend raved about. It was HORRIBLE. The fried wantons were the best and it just got worse from there. The food was rubbery or slimy and the service was horrible. I refused to tip them since I was raising my hand for them to come to our table and even that wasn't working. It was ridiculous. We went to my friend's parents house afterward since she they lived close by so I could feed LM and we visited for a while and then went to the grocery store for some dessert. I ended up sick once we got home with a borderline migraine and nauseous (I felt like I had morning sickness--though I know I'm not PG). We laid down on the couches and watched About a Boy and both fell asleep. LM woke up right when the movie ended so I fed him and went to bed and my friend stayed over and slept on the couch.
The boys came home early with the girls so we didn't have any more time to just hang out. LM slept pretty well and woke up to eat twice and for teething meds once. It wasn't too bad thankfully since I was on my own.
Tonight we got our free babysitters. We went to a restaurant that we had a gift card for but they were closed due to a wedding so we hit up a new Thai place in town and it was great. The owner/server was hilarious and full of energy. He was a crack up to listen to and watch. We will definitely be going back and the food was great too. We finished up our date by going grocery shopping. DH said it 's pretty lame when you are excited to have babysitters so you can go grocery shopping. It was nice not to worry about fussy/cranky kids though. I tried getting the girls to help decorate for Kai's birthday tomorrow but it was useless. They were so hyper and tired that it was a disaster. I ended up redoing it all any way. They were funny though.
