DD is sick with another ear infection. We took her in today for a cold and she came out with and EI and clear lungs. She didn't have a fever or pulling on her ear either. It's weird. I'm glad she has health insurance though! It's such a blessing during times like these. I'm a little worried about the swine flu now since it's killed one toddler and now there are a lot of suspected cases in Oregon. I pray we all stay healthy.
LM's getting so big! His feet are so big they don't fit in the 3-6 month PJ's and he just turned 3 months while we were in AZ. It's crazy. DD has such tiny feet. She doesn't even fit in the 5 sandals I bought her for Easter (too big). LM is laughing and talking so much. He slept 9 hours straight Sunday night to Monday morning! It was wonderful but has woken up a bit earlier the last two nights. I figured out how to wrap him up though so he sleeps better. He has to have his legs and wrapped up too so he can't move them very much. He also has to sleep with a burp cloth over his face. We figured that out in AZ. In California I figured out he like it by his face but he will be out in seconds with one over his face. Thank goodness he's my second child so I'm not so paranoid about him suffocating.
After our trip to the Grand Canyon we had to sleep train DD again once we got home. Since the last two night she slept in bed with my sister and then us, as it was one room with two double beds. She's doing much better now finally. It took a few nights though to regulate her.
I've been busy catching up on laundry, cleaning, and wedding and trying to "Enjoy the Moment" with my kids. This was the topic last Sunday at church to find the Joy in the moment we are in and not look in the past or to the future because we will miss out on what's going on and it will be gone before we know it. This has brought a lot of perspective in life for me. I stayed and played in the tub with DD this morning after my shower, I cuddled with her instead of checking my e-mail, I talked and played with LM instead of being annoyed that I couldn't hear the movie we were trying to watch, and I think of the plants that are now getting to breath because I have removed the weeds that were "strangling" them. It's actually made my life happier. Just thought I would share. Maybe you can begin to discover the little pieces of JOY in your life.
